To choose oak is to embrace this natural diversity and to continue a long tradition of working with a material deeply woven into human history — made to last, and made to be lived with. Comandante has always crafted their unique crank knobs from this beautiful, local material. But its strength and hardness has made it unfeasible to
use for the iconic veneers on their grinders… until now!
Comandante is proud to release a limited run of C40 Nitro Blade ‘Vintage Oak’ grinders in two categories: ‘Classic’ and ‘Royal’. All handcrafted by their team at HQ in Munich, they boast the rich, deep hue of smoked oak — the knob and veneer in a perfect pairing. The rare ‘Royal’ grinders all carry veneers handpicked by Comandante founder Bernd Braune for their particularly remarkable grain.
